Test Press – Serum 2 Ultimate Reese (Serum2 PRESET, Wav, MIDI) Review:

Test Press – Serum 2 Ultimate Reese is a modern bass-focused sound design pack created for producers who want powerful Reese basses, dark textures, and club-ready low-end sounds inside Xfer Serum 2. Developed by Test Press, this pack is aimed primarily at drum & bass, dubstep, UK garage, trap, techno, and other bass-heavy electronic genres. It combines Serum 2 presets, WAV loops, and MIDI files into a production toolkit designed to speed up workflow while delivering aggressive and polished modern bass sounds. One of the biggest highlights of Ultimate Reese is its focus on high-quality Reese bass design. Reese basses are a core element in many electronic music styles, known for their wide stereo movement, gritty harmonics, and deep low-end power. This pack captures that classic sound while updating it with modern processing and cleaner production techniques. The presets feel heavy, dynamic, and highly mix-ready, making them useful for both underground and commercial electronic productions.

The sound quality throughout the pack is impressive. The presets are designed with rich movement, layered harmonics, and evolving textures that give basslines a powerful presence without sounding muddy. Many patches include subtle modulation and stereo width that help create larger and more immersive low-end energy. This makes the sounds especially effective in club-oriented tracks where bass impact is essential. Another strong point is the flexibility of the included content. Alongside the Serum 2 presets, the pack includes WAV samples and MIDI files that allow producers to build tracks quickly and experiment with different arrangements. The MIDI content is particularly useful for beginners or producers seeking inspiration, while the WAV loops provide instant production-ready ideas that can easily fit into modern electronic workflows.

The presets are organized clearly and are easy to customize inside Serum 2. Producers can adjust filters, distortion, modulation, and macro controls to reshape sounds according to their project needs. This balance between ready-to-use presets and sound design flexibility makes the pack appealing for both experienced sound designers and newer producers. One of the most useful aspects of Ultimate Reese is how well the sounds sit inside a mix. Instead of requiring heavy additional processing, many presets already feel polished and balanced. This allows producers to move quickly during songwriting and arrangement stages without spending excessive time correcting frequencies or layering multiple bass sounds.

The pack is especially effective for darker electronic genres. Drum & bass producers will appreciate the growling movement and aggressive tone, while dubstep and trap producers can use the presets for cinematic bass drops and heavy low-end sections. The atmospheric textures and distorted bass tones also work well in cyberpunk, industrial, and hybrid electronic productions. Overall, Test Press – Serum 2 Ultimate Reese is a highly focused and well-designed sound pack that delivers modern Reese bass sounds with professional quality and strong usability. Its combination of presets, WAV content, and MIDI files makes it a versatile toolkit for electronic music producers looking to create powerful low-end energy quickly and efficiently.
